Disney’s new book, Vader’s Little Princess, is a great way to get your little girl ready for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The book is just as cute as you’d expect from Disney—it’s got all the elements we love about their books: bright colors, a whimsical setting and characters who are inspired by pop culture icons. But it also packs in some important lessons about being brave and strong (both physically and emotionally). Here are five reasons why you should buy this book for your daughter right now:
It’s not all about the kids.
If you like Disney, and if you’re a fan of Star Wars, then this is the book for you. It’s not too heavy-handed or preachy—it’s just fun.
It’s also a great way to connect with fans of the franchise who may have never seen themselves represented in books before (or even at all).
It doesn’t take itself too seriously.
The book is not too serious about itself, which is great for a Disney book. It pokes fun at the original story and throws in some jokes that make sense in context. For example, when Luke Skywalker is called on stage to receive his Jedi training from Obi-Wan Kenobi, he tells them that they will learn how to use their force powers (which they don’t know anything about) and also how to make fireworks with their minds (which isn’t something anyone can do). Then there are lots of other funny moments like this one:
- “I’m going to need some help carrying those fireworks over here,” said Luke Skywalker as he and Obi-Wan walked through an alleyway filled with debris after being attacked by Stormtroopers who had just destroyed several buildings nearby.”
It rallies together the fans.
This book is a great way to bring together fans of the saga and introduce new fans to the story. It will also be a good introduction for kids who have never heard of Star Wars before, or even grown-ups who have been away from it for too long.
It’s adorable.
If you’re looking for a gift idea that doesn’t involve a stapler, this is it. It’s adorable and well written, with characters that are fun and engaging. The art is also great—it’s something I would love to own on my own bookshelf! And if you want something inexpensive but still high-quality (and don’t mind the occasional typo), this book is perfect.
The more, the merrier.
When we first heard about this book, we were excited. We love Disney and their movies, but it’s rare that they come out with something as fun and engaging as this.
The more material there is on the internet, the better! These days people are so busy that they don’t have time to read or watch everything they want—and in that case, a good way of getting them interested in your story would be through an online platform like YouTube or Netflix where you can show them clips of your work. If you’re lucky enough to have an audience member who has access to those platforms (which most readers do), then consider giving them a copy of your book when it becomes available for purchase! It’s also worth noting that these days many books are published digitally so even if someone doesn’t have physical copies of yours yet…they can still get access via their e-reader/tablet/phone before buying another copy later down the line.”
Conclusion
We hope you enjoyed this review of the long-awaited Disney book Vader’s Little Princess. We know that there’s a lot to love about this story and we can’t wait to see where it goes next. So what do you think? Will your kids love it too? And if not, why not try another one of their books instead? Thanks so much for reading!
